Juggling...

As we wind down editing our commercials, we are "juggling" with writing our screenplays and post-production.  You will receive the new original screenplay and short film assignment next week.  In the meantime, please start to familiarize yourself with 1) 3 Act Story Structure (posted under the "handouts" tab of this website) and 2) Character sketching  (posted in the same place).  These are the ways writers develop stories BEFORE writing a formal screenplay.

Post-Production

That means editing.  Everybody should have a one on one editing review with me and a full review with the entire class.  That means editing needs to wind down tomorrow.  If you're done, make sure you cut two different version (see the handout) render, and upload to your Hapara folder.

If you have finished, please start character sketching for your original screenplay (pitch coming up) - see under the handouts tab.

Finishing up Editing / DSLR sound

The One Scene exercises are due by the end of class Friday. They should be rendered /output and then uploaded to GoogleDrive and then placed into your Film & TV Hapara folder.  A rubric has been placed inder the Exercises and Projects tab of this website.  As for rendering or outputting, be sure to set the right settings in your editing application and talk to me or Producers about the right codec, especially for Sony Vegas.

Those of you that are done should start using our new Beachtek XLR adaptors, continue working on f-stop and white balance with the cameras.
